BJP is dangerous if oppn thinks so: Rajinikanth

CHENNAI: Tamil superstar Rajinikanth, who was one of the earliest to welcome the demonetisation move when it was announced on November 8, 2016 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Monday said it was not implemented properly.
“The demonetisation scheme was not implemented properly. We need to have a larger discussion on it,” Rajinikanth told reporters here.

Rajinikanth, known for his Hindutva leniency, surprised the media by hinting that the BJP could be a dangerous party if that’s what all the opposition parties think.

“If all the opposition parties think the BJP is dangerous and that’s why they are all coming together to form an anti-BJP alliance, then that party should be so,” he told reporters, while responding to a pointed question on the opposition parties ganging up against the BJP for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Though the actor did not elaborate, the mere hint from him that the BJP could be dangerous, even if he was responding to a pointed question, is enough to surprise people. Especially, when a section of the people believe that his planned political foray has the blessings of the saffron party.
Reacting to the increasing incidents of sexual crimes against minor girls, the actor wanted a severe law to be enacted to prevent such heinous crimes.
Rajinikanth said he was not aware about the developments concerning the release of the seven life convicts in the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case.
